Just Add Ink #355 - Just Add a Sketch

Good morning!

Our fabulous sketch designer, Narelle, has given us a terrific challenge to kick off the Easter long weekend over at Just Add Ink.  I hope you've all put aside time for crafting.  I certainly plan to get inky today while most of my family is away four wheel driving/off road camping in the Victorian high country.  Unfortunately Gorgeous Kid is at home unwell this Easter weekend :(

I used my Shooting Star stamps, and matching Framelits to make this spinner card which until this week hadn't seen ink!  I'm thinking I should 'shop my own stash' and work through all of my stamps from A to Z in a quest to use them!

This was also my first use of the Serene Scenery dsp - gasp.  I thought this particular design looked like a night sky, so I added the sweet shooting star which spins around and around - lots of fun to play with.

To enhance the night sky look I added lots of shimmer which was hard to photograph - I think it shows better in this close up.

Pop over to JAI and get inspired with all the lovely design team inspiration.  I hope to see lots of you getting busy this long weekend and uploading your creations to share with us.  Here is the sketch.

As mentioned above it's a nice quiet weekend in my house and I've got a few lazy plans - reading, crafting, catching up on some tv shows I haven't had time for lately, enjoying the peace and tranquility....I'm all set with hot cross buns and a little chocolate too.  Wishing you all a wonderful Easter!

Thanks for stopping by today, and if you have any questions on how I created this spinner card please leave a comment or email me and I'll be happy to share how it came together.

  1. Fantastic! That dsp works beautifully clever one. Love this cute set, but it never made it to an order..:0( It works so well for this sketch! xx

  2. What a fabulous card. Love the paper - perfect.

  3. I have used my dies once and the stamp set never...time to get it out. Yes, I too can shop my own stash. Your card is fantastic with the colors.

  4. Such a cute and fun card P! I love how you've used the DSP for the background and the shiny stars look amazing! I have this set but haven't used it as much as the stash sounds like a very good idea for me to do too :-) xx

  5. Beautiful card and perfect for this sketch P. I really wanted this bundle but never got around to buying it :-(

  6. How atmospherically perfect was the DSP! The gleaming yellow star (love that purple tail!) looks gorgeous whizzing above it. xxx

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a comment. I love reading them!
